Kimber Village will be three 16 unit multi-level building of bungalows or small houses and a centrally located community building. There will be total of approximately 48 units that serve households whose income do not exceed 80% of the Average Median Income (AMI). There will be 24 one-bedroom units, 12 two-bedroom units and 12 three-bedroom units.
The buildings will be arranged around interconnected pocket parks. These provide for communal interaction and multiple areas for recreation, play areas, bike-friendly amenities and resident gardens. The design de-emphasizes vehicular presence, yet provides convenient vehicle access for residents. The buildings are intended to be inter-generational and to accommodate small families and individuals seeking to ‘age in place’. The units are purposely design to be compact while utilizing open interior floorplans to allow residents to ‘live large’. Many units will have individual front porches, washer/dryer hookups, interior storage and other appealing features. There will be 4 units that will ADA compliant.
